In-Bev opening a Goose Island bar in London which sounds like it could be the first of many. I don't think any other US breweries have done this internationally? Obviously Mikkeller and Brewdog have been doing it for a while now.

(I'm ignoring the FFF place in Copenhagen and Brooklyn in Stockholm as those are stand-alone brewpubs with their own branding).

Stone in Germany?

Urban family brewing just put out their muerta Al cereal (it's their death to cereal with some chiles and other adjuncts I can't recall) and it's ******* phenomenal . They have some good foudre beer also, really enjoyed their Brett pale ale

Nice to see someone other than me willing to say nice things about Urban Family on the internet.

We get Urban family distro here. I've only had a few, but I liked them, specifically Harmony of Spheres and Lady of the Night. I think they're nice to grab when you just want to solo some funk and/or sour beer without having to crack a 750.

This was where everybody was talking about saving spots in line with chairs and **** a few days ago, right?

Relevant development:

And for those w/o Instagram--Tired Hands has banned the practice of using a chair to save your spot in line. Important quote:
ALSO! DO NOT place any chairs in line before noon. We will remove these chairs and give them to our canning crew to sit on with their butts.

Is this an IPA or some collaboration with Bed, Bath, and Adjuncts Beyond?

Let me complete your important quote with further importance.

Beer release at 5pm. They are banning chairs before noon. So not banning chairs, just banning chairs before a certain time. Do people actually lineup for 5 ******* hours for these?

Ryan_G, regularjohn, and Hookemhops13 successively posted each thing that went chronologically through my head while reading that post.

Oh except for this part:

Heist Decoder was brewed happily under duress and with our pals at @monkishbrewing. OAT IPA WITH CITRA, SIMCOE, AND GALAXY. 7.3% abv. GET IT???

No I don't get it, but I'm slow so maybe someone can explain it to me.

I like that you had no issues with the coconut oil.

I'm honestly not sure anything "beats" people camping out overnight at Monkish. Even though I'm kind of over that sort of thing now, I can understand getting in line really early or even partly overnight for really limited releases. But lining up overnight for ******* IPA cans?

Possibly the only thing dumber I can recall was last year (? could have been 2 years ago) when some guys lined up at LP Binny's for the Black Friday BCBS release...on Wednesday afternoon.

EDIT: the Pliny The Younger line at Russian River is high up there on the stupid scale.

The PtY lineup I sort of get since it is a limited release that a lot of people (myself included) haven't had yet. I am personally over hype beers but I would probably wait in line for PtY just to see what it's about. I also would probably not but I've never been in town when it's released so who knows.

BCBS has been available at every bottle shop for longer than they have done Black Friday so to me that is the stupidest by far.

Yup. Also... Dinner.

I'm not going to pretend like I've never waited on a line before for beer, including IPA (Alchemist, Veil, etc). But damned if I'm literally losing sleep over it, limited or not. There are lots of great local breweries everywhere, doing really nice things, that fly under the radar (for now, feh), and I can get what I want without this crap.

Semi-related: Maybe I'm just bitter and cranky (yes) because I don't have any non-beer friends who would do this **** with me, but... it's also annoying when you hear or people lining up early/lining up in general with their significant whoevers/siblings/1248975 of their closest "friends" --- Ugh.

It's not lining up for PtY I find weird - I'd probably do it myself, if we were talking an hour or something - but rather that people line up overnight/wait for like 8 hours to drink an IPA on draft.

All for the super juice, extra hazy, ultra gnar gnar dank IPA bruh, so lit . ( I like a good juicy hop bomb don't get me wrong, but after about 8 of them they all taste pretty damn similar just different obscure names and labels)

On a side note - anyone in Seattle/Tacoma/WA area Urban Family is releasing holy matrimony a bourbon aged imp stout with maple syrup this Saturday , should put you in that chipper holiday mood while your next door neighbor is making his house look like a Christmas Walmart ad.

Yes, which I still don't understand. I've never had an issue obtaining any of the cans I've wanted to try merely by stopping by on my way home from work, usually no earlier than 6:30. I guess some have sold out before then, but there's always at least something. Some people got more time than sense.

I know they're targeting Eastern Washington next, but I think Reuben's is planning on Oregon distribution within the next year or so.

Their Crush IPAs (single hop hazy IPAs, they've done Galaxy and Citra so far) have been stellar lately. I'm not one for hoppy beers on nitro, but Nitro Citra Crush was pretty fantastic.

Crush on nitro was amazing! I went for the first time last weekend with NAD1983 and it was a good time. I'll definitely be hitting it up again.
