Top 3 beers at the festival:

1. Imbibe Smoky Apricot Berlinner Weisse
2. Tahoe Mountain Strawberry Balsamic Basil Ale (lots of brett & lacto if that helps you imagine it)
3. Sierra Nevada Coffee Milk Chocolate Session Stout

Hon Mention: Lagunitas Oyster Pirate Imperial Rye Ale

Worst 3
1. Record Street Kimchi Sour Ale
2. Alibi Ale Works Birra de Pizza
3. Brewer's Cabinet Cheez It Pale Ale

Hon Mention: Mammoth Earl Gray Pale Ale

I really can't explain how nasty the Kimchi beer was. Right? It sounds gross already. But that doesn't tell the whole story.

Really earthy, sour dog **** that induces that slick, salty feeling in your throat like you're gonna throw up. That's just the aroma. The taste is worse. I mean, I've ticked about 5000 beers, and this is the worst beer ever if you isolate for aroma, taste and mouthfeel . . .Mega gag inducing. You'd have to Chicago pour a bottle of this like 800 ways to finish it.

Score:

Appearance: 3
Aroma: 1
Taste: 1
Mouthfeel: 1
Overall 1.25

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't curious and somewhat ISO of that Kimchi Sour Ale... but god ******* damn does that sound awful. So awful.

A few weeks ago I realized that I was missing one of my 3F GB '11's. I searched for it through all my bottles and eventually decided I must have randomly sent it out to someone by mistake. Today I was packing boxes and found a whole case of beer under all my packing stuff that I didn't even know was there. Load of random stuff I had set aside to ship out in various BIF's and that little bottle of '11 all safe and sound.

Thank **** I didn't send that out to one of you ******s when I mean to send a '14 instead.

I really wish Trillium would package in something other than 750s all the time. Cans, 4 pack bottles, something? Not that I have a problem drinking 750 ml of any Trillium beer.

I honestly feel the biggest reason Tree House gets most of the hype rather than Trillium is tallboy cans vs 750s.

I want a 4 pack of tallboy cans of different Fort Point variants.

Don't forget about the lines and lower limits at Tree House compared to Trillium. Trillium is too easy to get.

Weird, I just came here to say, Trillium >> Treehouse. Treehouse is good but if I'm gonna trade for something it's Trillium all day.

Came in here to say this after having a Sap, Bright, and Julius followed by a Mettle.
