I'm drinking a Liefmans Cuvee-Brut currently...tastes so much like the New Glarus fruit beers. Where has this beer been all my life? I'm going to be picking up a lot more of these for the summer.
It's like a regular bomb except it only disappoints you once a year.
BA says:
"Birthday Bomb will have a higher ABV and Caramel added to the adjunct list. "
Because who the **** cares about style guidelines

Honestly, it tastes like bottom-shelf Chardonnay.
Larry Bell is a giant ******* who makes some very good beer. Maybe you can work that in somehow. So John Mallet from Bells is making a low key visit to Australia to judge at the beer awards. Apparently he's agreed to bring "some" beer for an event which I've been asked to host.
I don't know a heap about them outside of Hopslam/Two hearted/Oberon reputation. Is there anything I should know? I don't think many peeps know about them here in Australia so I'm sure I can wing it, but given I won't have much time to prepare between now and Sunday... Anyone have any good tidbits that'll make me look like an expert?

http://www.freep.com/story/money/bu...s-brewery-beer-trademark-innovation/24732355/Interesting, hadn't heard that before. Not that it surprises me, "*******" and "successful craft brewery owner" seem to go together relatively often.

Strange how often people who do well for themselves with a small business get labeled ********. Maybe that's just what it takes to be successful or other's tend to begrudge those who are?
Oooh, protecting their trademarks. How mean and awful of them. What bullies!
That Innovation thing was a giant crock of ****. Some little nothing brewery looking for free publicity. Some places in Asheville even took 2-hearted off tap. Now I rarely see 2 Hearted tall boys more than 4 weeks old and bought some the other day that had been canned 3 days before. I could really give a **** if Larry Bell rubs people the wrong way or wants to go to every Cubs home game.
You both ****** up.What price did everyone pay for the 12-pack of Sierra Nevada Beer Camp?
Uh, so I saw it at the store with the same price tag as other SN 12-packs ($14 or so) and it rang up at $29 or so. I pointed this out and they adjusted it at the register.
.... .... did they **** up? lol. Just wondering. I have a feeling they ****** up.
Expedition Stout is amazing, as is Third Cost Old Ale. If you're lucky he will bring some QFalls or Poolside cans. Those are new this spring. Canning them is new. I drink more Two Hearted than I do any other beer, and it's not even close. Doesn't bother me that he's an *******, I was just pointing it out in an apparently failed attempt at humor.Strange how often people who do well for themselves with a small business get labeled ********. It's on the box somewhere. I can't remember exactly which side though.Where's the date on Two-Hearted tallboy packs usually located? I swear I've looked when I think about buying them locally but can never find it, as opposed to on the bottles where it's easy (and where they are always 3-6 months old here).
Upper right hand corner, don't remember which side. Black ink. It's on the box somewhere. I can't remember exactly which side though.
BOOM!Upper right hand corner, don't remember which side. Black ink.
Alpine Duet showing up, which I prefer (even in the Green Flash iteration).
Agree, but I haven't seen a fresh bottle of Union Jack since 2012, which was shortly after FW started distro to Philly. I haven't bought it since.Shelf IPA talk: when fresh it's hard to beat Union Jack (for both quality and value) in my opinion. Haven't had Two Hearted in years though.
