Thank you for reminding me of Ratman and this incredible exchange from December
Smoking some Kush and watching Cliffhanger. Jason Liztuo? is the best villain actor of alltime. Cliffhanger,Ricochet, and Dexter Season 4 show him to be a real scary dude.
Wait? Do you think John Lithgow’s name is Jason Liztuo?
Stopped into a local beer store today for the first time in forever. They still had cases of bourbon county orange. Was it that bad?
It's prolly worse in Austin where it came out about a month after the regular BCBS and variants because of some label issue with the state (can't remember why) and people were able to see others' reactions. Still turding up the place (with 2018 and even some 2017 BCBS in places)Stopped into a local beer store today for the first time in forever. They still had cases of bourbon county orange. Do you think beers like CBS, KBS and BCBS "turding it up" after years of being scarce has to do with
A) More quantity than the audience who buys it
B) The price is too high even though there is more of it
C) People are boycotting BIG CORPORATE BEER
D) All of the Above
Price as well as more local choices. For instance in Austin, since BCBS first came to town in ~2013 there was nothing like BCBS on the market... Now, 5 years later... we've actually got breweries making incredible barrel-aged beers. Red Horn Brewing for instance makes a Vanilla barrel-aged beer called Suburban Ninja (they're out in the burbs) that I think is better than Vanilla BCBS. And cheaper per oz as well... ***big shrug***B) The price is too high even though there is more of it
The variants were gross this year. They don’t realt turd up here because everyone comes to Chicago for Prop, but I also don’t care to wait in that ******** line on Black friday for beer any more. I am burnt out on beer lines in general. There are too many other good things to drink that are not a pain in my ass to get.I don’t think BCBS has dropped so much from at least 2012 [hot take, fine], but I think the variants thing is what sets it apart - they used to be bleeding edge on variants. Now everyone throws everything into stouts and IPA’s. Plus, the hyped stout market is totally bananas, with people paying literally hundreds of dollars for a bottle of some hyped up, adjunct-riddle dark sugar water.
And the fact that they’re putting ******* orange into BCBS. Orange and chocolate has a relatively low fanbse (as opposed to, say, vanilla or coffee), plus it’s probably a hard flavor profile to nail. So...this is why I haven’t bought one.

I'm in Louisville and just went down the street a block to buy beer for the hotel. Most local IPAs were bottle dated in November. I mentioned something to the beer guy, who was apologetic and nice about it. I felt bad about saying something afterwards and ended being directed to one from late February, which was cool. Wonder if I was being too much of a dick for bringing it up?
dontdrinkbeer will be the first to shotgun one.Chocolate rain in 16oz cans?
Who will be the first to shotgun one and maybe die?
Also, will this break the $100/4pack ceiling?

I was very clear and only said shotgun. That is very on brand. If you want to shot gun one, you can, too. But you just had your first Oberon party, so I don't now if you are ready for 16oz tallboy of BT.Ahem

How was it, by the way? Did you enjoy my college craft beer of choice?
