It's prolly worse in Austin where it came out about a month after the regular BCBS and variants because of some label issue with the state (can't remember why) and people were able to see others' reactions. Still turding up the place (with 2018 and even some 2017 BCBS in places)

Price as well as more local choices. For instance in Austin, since BCBS first came to town in ~2013 there was nothing like BCBS on the market... Now, 5 years later... we've actually got breweries making incredible barrel-aged beers. Red Horn Brewing for instance makes a Vanilla barrel-aged beer called Suburban Ninja (they're out in the burbs) that I think is better than Vanilla BCBS. And cheaper per oz as well... ***big shrug***

Also BA stouts are arguably on the outs with Milkshake Hazy IPAs being the new hawtness so less people are buying them in general.

So a little bit of everything.

Now everyone throws everything into stouts and IPA’s. Plus, the hyped stout market is totally bananas, with people paying literally hundreds of dollars for a bottle of some hyped up, adjunct-riddle dark sugar water.

And the fact that they’re putting ******* orange into BCBS. Orange and chocolate has a relatively low fanbse (as opposed to, say, vanilla or coffee), plus it’s probably a hard flavor profile to nail. So...this is why I haven’t bought one.

The variants were gross this year. They don’t realt turd up here because everyone comes to Chicago for Prop, but I also don’t care to wait in that ******** line on Black friday for beer any more. I am burnt out on beer lines in general. There are too many other good things to drink that are not a pain in my ass to get.

B for all, with explanations.

CBS: B. If it was sold in 4-packs in the US at a price such as $24.99 - $28.99, I would buy numerous cases without hesitation. I loved it when it was originally released, and I still loved the last release. I also despise bombers and 750s and will seek out almost any way to avoid buying bottles in those formats.

KBS: B. I can buy other beers that hit that particular craving (despite some of them not being BA) and are less expensive.

BCBS: B. I don't find '15 through '18 to be worth the price for a 500 ml bottle. I drank my last bottles of '13 and '14 at the end of February, and they were far superior (in my opinion, of course) to the recent releases.

I'd say no. If they don't know that's a thing to worry about maybe they learned something today. If they think that's not a big deal then a lot of people won't buy beer there.

EDIT: also if anyone hasn't tried 2 Towns Rhubarbarian, fix that. It's one of the best ciders I have ever had.
