This is why I only drink out of my vintage 1993 Flintstones McDonald's glass mugs.

Who needs the added confusion.

As annoying as a lot of the current beer trends can be, the current overwhelming trend in glassware - multicolored glasses ripping off intellectual property from various pop-culture sources - is infinitely worse

couldn't agree more. hype breweries bookending their fomo-mongering with pop-culture nostalgia-baiting really gets my blood boiling. and don't get me started on the rap lyrics.

I'm glad I never got into the glassware game. I've collected a few from here and there but definitely never searched a bunch out.

I typically only use Willi's and can shape glasses for the most part.

I've got a probably 300 .rar and specialty glassware pieces and routinely only use a willi from a local i don't care about and dishwash, a goblet from tyranena that's completely washed away, a teku from a local, or a quart mason jar for intiharing black tuesdays. workhorses.

The rest are literally just cabinet fodder at this point.

My glass game is sick, fam.

JK, I mainly use this glass when I'm not drinking from the bottle or can. Everything else is either in boxes or in the cupboard and doesn't get much use.

Beer doesn't suck, it's just been ruined by the people that don't like what I do. The brewers need to understand they only need to brew what I like, not what makes them money. Obviously these beers are a fad and will change because I don't like it.
Dont forget about not drinking beer because of the value and instead of selling it like a true commodity.

For some reason brown ales and amber ales are everywhere in Latin America. I was at a beer competition last week and might have been the two most popular categories after American IPA.

I don't really like browns but that's the standard "old dude curmudgeon" response to the modern PNW beer scene.

I actually enjoy a brown ale on occasion, if it's executed well. HF George is great (insert copypasta here), Civil Life in St. Louis makes a really excellent brown ale that I found on tap last time I was in DC, Maduro from Cigar City is solid, and I'm sure there's plenty of others I'm forgetting. My local place does a brown ale with pecans and some cherrywood smoked malt, and it's one of my fall/winter staples at their taproom.

Voodoo Wynona's Big Brown Ale is very good as well IMO.
