Not supposed to be funny, just an unexpected first beer. The first tweet made it sound like they were going for much simpler/classic styles and the article says "not all styles are made for wood aging" then they go and brew the exact opposite.

I see... perhaps they will have more than just that beer on? I'd assume that beer took a while to make, while a hoppy beer could have been whipped up prior to opening.

Want to brew IPAs and pilsners... their first release is a 13% imperial stout...

I believe the stout was a portion of a batch that was mostly going into barrels. It's very good.

I had a bottle of 2010 Bigfoot this weekend and thought it was great - much better than it was fresh. I actually think most of the beers on your list will be very good.

I'm not a fan of fresh Bigfoot at all, I don't like hoppier barleywines. That being said, this bottle was a drain pour. I imagine that's what drain cleaner tastes like. I have a 2008-13 vertical, hoping some of those taste better.

I bought a handful of these and they just got worse and worse as they aged.

Last one definitely tasted awful and was very chunky with floating sediment. Blargh.

I guess I am accepting donations of unwanted Raison D'Extras. I have always liked them better with age.

3000s are well past their prime. I'm trying to remember what the oldest one I've had in last few years was that was good, probaly 5000. I've already drunk texted him tonight and not heard back, but I think a friend still has 4k-10k.

Good for him. I can't stand Jeppe or Mikkel, but if some homie is going to **** all over their beer and not even be literate enough to spell his criticisms properly, dude should get called out for it.

If Jeppe was going all-in on just getting a negative review, the hell with him. But that awful mispelling from the e-cerone deserves the hammer.

Wonder if there's some booteric acid too
