That story is like a shitlord checklist complete with a J. Wakefield cameo.

Before this article I always assumed that Three Chiefs was like a Wakefield spin-off brewery or something, because I'd never seen or heard about them existing outside of Wakefest.

Which is funny because I believe beer stores may be getting "stuck" with these barrel aged stouts and end up putting out last year's release when the current year's comes out. I know I've seen it at a few places.

excellent gif usage.
But then if they're shitlords they can just add a nice little "vintage and or cellared" tag on the shelf and jack up the price from a few dollars to absurd amounts of upcharge!

I remember hearing a lot of this about KBS over the past two or three years, so much so that some stores were selling mixed vintage packs at a premium where they swapped two of the current year for two of the last year and put them out first in hopes people wouldn't notice and clear them out of old stock.

This list looks like the top 25 of the BA 250 - 2010 edition list except it's missing Westy 12

A bunch of relatively accessible beers that don't require you to stand in line for days or trade away your first born and/or soul for. Not surprising.

Yeah the results of this list are largely a product of the methodology used, which favors good, accessible beers that many of the respondents have had. There's something to be said in favor of that (similarly to the BA "Beers of Fame" list if that's still a thing, I'm too lazy to check), although I think it's a bit simplistic for something they are going to label "best beers", especially because, assuming I'm understanding it correctly, they just add up the number of times each beer appears without considering the order in which the user ranked them. "Our reader's favorite beers" or something like that would be more accurate.

Went to a local taproom today. Had six different beers, all had multiple adjuncts. Listened to the person next to me be dumbfounded that her friend didn’t listen to Mumford and Sons. This is where we’re at. (Insert favorite shrug gif)

For the record, all the beers were good-very good and I like Mumford and Sons.

I don't know any of their songs but I always confuse the name with Sanford and Son and assume all their songs sound like that show's theme song.
