Now I may be getting a little too technical here but forgive me, I like to know what exactly is going on and I am very thorough.

I bought a sack of Rahr 2-Row and am trying to input the specs into Beersmith. The tag on the sack says this:

Color of wort, Degrees, Lovibond - 2.14

Is this what I would input into Beersmith in my ingredient I create in the "SRM"? Isn't SRM different?

The website I bought this is saying 1.7 Lovibond for color and other websites say 1.7-2.0 so this seems way off from my tag.

For low colored malts Lovibond = SRM. The two separate when you get to much darker malts as one is a visual comparison (Lovibond) to known standards and the other is a reflected light measurement at a given wavelength.

I would go by the tag on the bag you purchased for the most accurate information. I've never seen a straight 2-raw base malt above 2.0, but it is very possible.

Thanks. I guess so as the tag says 2.14 which I thought was high so wanted to clarify.
