Ive got a belguim style stout thingy fermenting just now ( not sure what it is tbh as I got a bit carried away with the special grains and the treacle and the candy sugar :)) its about finished bubbling and I was wondering about racking it on for a bit longer.

Is it worth it ? Im worried about getting an infection into it

Should I add a little more sugar to purge out the O2?

Any thoughts would be gladly read and acted upon.

You're right, it's not worth risking infection (and oxidation). Don't rack it to a "secondary" vessel, even when (outdated) instructions call for it. Leave it where it is.

It needs to clean up and condition for a while, especially with that high sugar/fermentables load. I'd leave it sealed for at least a week or 2.

Try not to disturb the headspace, it is rich in CO2 and poor in O2 after fermentation, which is good. By lifting the lid etc. you'd lose that CO2 within seconds.
