Just did a pilsner. Went to the tap to draw a small amount for a SG reading and noticed the tap was leaking a little... no problem, tightend the tap, wiped away the drips... still leaking. Tighten again... still leaking. BUGGER!

Run out to get my second carboy. Cleaned it, stealaised it. put the tap on REALLY tight... and test it with water. Racked the pils into the secondary carboy only a short while after primary. No leaks... HOORAH! Pitched yeast and all is good...

Not much beer (wort) was lost... so no big deal. My kitched floor is kinda sticky though...

Not a bottling bucket... just a plastic carboy type thing... like this one...

Plan on racking this into secondary (or would it be thirdary?) in about a week... so gonna have to make sure that carboy is in working order by then...

looks like a bottling bucket that's missing its spigot. A carboy has a narrow top.

and its 'tertiary' not thirdary :)
