hey all i have a question about bottling/kegging, i want my cider in bottles but carbonated, is it possible to carbonate it in a keg and then bottle it, will it be carbonated properly and keep well or not

You can, but I don't think I would do an entire batch that way. Just seems to be the hard way to go about it.

yes it is. all you need is a................... ahhhh can't remember what its called. basically a bottling attachment for kegging. it has a check valve on it to prevent reversing your line out. also when you visit a brew pub they fill your growler straight from the tap. :D

yeah i know but im looking in to this atm, is there another machine specially for carbing before bottling?

Ummm....no. Unless you consider a bottle and a cap a machine.

You could carb it in the keg and use BM's 'Beer Gun' to fill the bottles once it is carbed. It will be a little messy, but it will work.

But if I was doing a 5 gallon batch, I would bottle the old fashioned way and let it carb in the bottle.

I assume he is wanting to carb a sweet cider where natural carbing is not an option because of the excess sugar still in the cider. If this is what you are wanting you can (as BendBrewer said) use a beer gun to bottle the ciders or just keep them in the keg and drink. They will lose a little carbonation but not much.
