I have these ball lock style connectors for quickly connecting/disconnecting from the keg taps and it works well, and since they screw onto any swivel nut they're easy to swap around as needed. But what I need is some kind of coupling for quickly connecting/disconnecting lines together. Like for example, imagine I have tubing connected to a racking cane, it would be great if the other end had a quick connect that I could snap it onto other tubing (say the one that goes to my transfer pump). Looking for something cheap and easy to use at the moment for both beer and gas lines, I figure i'll invest in something higher end and more permanent when I get a proper brew room setup down the road, for now I just need convenience. Thanks

Cheapest option is using hose barbs. Butterfly hose clamps are good for making & breaking collections during brew day.

More convenient is using ball lock or cam lock quick disconnects.

I guess I could do that...I've got tons of female barbed fittings for both 3/16 and 5/16 ID tubing...but no male barbed fittings, what is the size of the threaded part that will connect to a standard swivel nut do you know off hand?

I hate to guess because I don't know what you have, but most threaded fittings on hot-side homebrewing equipment in the US are 1/2" NPT.

I don't know how the toll on china-stainless-ware affects you americans, if you're from the US. But you get cheap QD-s with hose barbs from aliexpress or ebay. Just hook up a female to the recieving end and a male to the sender hose.
