I put my CO2 bottle outside my refrigerator. I carefully drilled a hole in the side and purchased hardware at Lowes to install a quick disconnect. Now I can disconnect the bottle and use it to purge carboys.Works good but I have to remember to disconnect the connector on my Corny or all the CO2 pressure bleeds off the beer. I've also got an air gun that hooks up to the CO2. Makes purging with CO2 very easy.

A good idea. I assume this is a stock airhose connector? They do make them with check valves or you can purchase an inline check valve and put it in the line inside. I just added one to my soda water keg, since my water pressure varies a lot and having CO2 blowback into the toilet tank is just plain weird.

Yep. I found the connectors in the air compressor accessories.
An in line check valve? Now that sounds like a good idea!
Next thing I need is a 4 position manifold for the inside of my fridge. :)
CO2 bubbling in the toilet would be unsettling! :drunk:

You have your toilet tank connected directly to a keg?

Looks good RichBrewer....What does the CO2 connection look like inside the fridge? Do you have more than one line?
No it is just connected with a threaded fitting. I would like to get a manifold for the inside so I can have 4 kegs hooked up but for now it works. I have to move the CO2 line around to which ever keg I want to carbonate or dispense from.

Amother option for quick disconects would be push lock fittings. Home Depot sells them, ( although the ones they sell are fairly cheaply made), or you can get them from Grainger. They come in 3/8" and and have NPT ends. For those that don't have multiple regulators, they also come in Ts so you can split the line to run multiple kegs, but you won't be able to run different pressures. Jeff

Lowe's is the best option for those on a tight budget. A pack that includes four disconnect plugs and 1 quick release coupler is $6, and individual couplers are $2.50. I put the quick release on my regulator and made a seperate hose (longer) for my out-of-fridge CO2 uses.
