Quick Blueberry/Pomegranate sparkling mead

I'm planning on making a batch of this soon but I don't have anywhere close I can purchase Buckwheat honey. Would some brown sugar be a close replacement?

Skip the brown sugar and stick with whatever honey you have. If you can find some dark hone, substitute that for the buckwheat.
