Just bought a new kegerator...it came with everything to accommodate a regular size keg...my question is...Do I need to do any type of conversion (permanent or switchable) to accommodate my corny kegs?...I would like to have the ability to occasionally buy a commercial keg of beer every now and then...all advise is appreciated!

There are a few different ways of doing this but here's a link from KegConnection.com. But take a look around at the different vendor sites to see what else is available.

If by "regular keg" you mean the ones typically used for commercial beers in 15.5 gallon kegs, sometimes smaller, they use a Sanke style connector. The Sanke connector won't work with homebrew soda "corny" kegs. You need pin lock or ball lock quick disconnects.

The easiest way is to get MFL tailpieces for your sanke tap, then terminate your gas and beer lines with female flare connectors. You'll be able to attach your beer out and gas in lines to Sanke or ball lock or pin lock quick disconnects.

I agree with other posters - you need to come up with a more specific thread title next time. And here is why it matters. You want someone to answer you, don't you? Can you imagine how confusing it would be if everyone titled every thread the way you did?

Why do you care how it's posted?

Glad you asked. You will get very poor response the way you did it. There are 100,000 members here. I can assure you that they won't open your thread to see what your question was.

I know you want to argue with me. Go ahead. I'm done here. Good luck in the future.

I appreciate your response very much, but If some one looks at my post and gets bent out of shape over how it's titled...then I encourage that person not to answer...if I read a post simply titled"question"... Then I would read the question and answer it if I could...without caring about blog etiquette...that's just silly!

Agreed, you will get a much better response.

It's your time wasted, brother. People are just trying to be helpful. *shrug*

I understand...I'm not going to be argumentative...thanks fellas!

To answer your question, yes you can buy kits to allow you to switch between corny and sanke (regular kegs). You can also buy the parts and do it yourself if you know what you are doing.

There is a kegging section. I would recommend searching there. This thread would be answered better there.

Also, when you ask for advice and someone gives it to you, don't get pissy. Typing just "question" won't get you many responses. Typing "how to make kegerator fit both sanke and corny kegs" will get you more responses. There are so many people on this forum that some threads go unnoticed, especially with a bad title like "question". This is a great forum with a lot of people. We are just trying to help you.
