I'm on my second batch of beer and I have a question about the fermentation. It's an all grain Abbey Triple and after sitting in the primary for 11 days it appears to be done fermenting. When I lifted the lid from my bucket most if the klausen had sunk to the bottom but there were a few yeasty's floating on top. Is this normal. I took a gravity reading and it is done.

Oops! Sorry about that. So it's okay if there is some yeast floating around. My gravity was 1.010.

yep, you should be fine, when you rack to a bottleing bucket or a keg do your best to leave any trub behind.

Cheers,

That's krausen, you plick! lolz. Yup. The krausen should go down back into the beer sometime after initial fermentation is over. Sometimes,it hangs on forever...except mine. She goes down every time.;)
