I recently brewed a Pliny the Elder clone and the recipie calls for dry hopping. 2 Stages.

1. Stage one- 12-14 days 3 oz dry hops
2. Stage two- 3/4 oz. hops with 5 days remaining in the 12-14 days dry hop

Now I want to carbonate at the same time in a keg. So I hooked up the gas disconnect and let the gas go at 11 psi. If at day 9 I open the keg to add the 2nd stage dry hop will all of the gas come out of solution? Would it be better to dry hop without carbonation using the above method. Then at day 14 take both hop bags out and carbonate for 2 weeks as usual?

Gas coming out of solution is not an instantaneous thing. If it was, opening a keg would result in a geyser of foam. :D

You can vent the pressure, open the lid, and then add the hops. Your level of carbonation will essentially be unaffected by having the the pressure relieved and the lid open for a short time.
