Just like many others, I started off with Mr. Beer and already plan on purchasing more serious equipment...however I received 3 additional refills with the kit, so I started looking at how I can integrate these refills into recipes.

Should I stick to the recipes on Mr.Beer and buy the ingredients directly from them or just buy from my local brew store?

Also, I was just wondering where do you guys get ideas for recipes other than the forum here?

Just use the refills as LME. They are 1.3lbs, I think...check the can. You can get resipes from this site or others and use the Mr. Beer as the first pound + of LME. Start out with 1 lb of LME per gallon of beer desired. Other forums can give you recipes or LHBS will as well. Either with your new stuff or your Mr. Beer, you can brew with it......have fun!!
