Is all grain recipes suppose to include dry malt extracts? I thought all grain meant no extract either dry or liquid, but I keep seeing DME in all grain recipes.
 
All grain should have no extract at all but sometimes people have poor mash efficiency and get a beer with lower OG than intended and boost it back to where it should be by adding extract. If the recipe calls for malt extract, it isn't all grain.
