I helped my friend start his first batches of wine. We started a strawberry and Welches red. Now we are about to age, and I've never aged with oak chips and was wondering if aging the Welches red would be a good idea. Also, is there a way to give it the flavors from aging in oak barrels, without actually buying an oak barrel?
