Hey All,
whadaya think it is? I started a pumpkin mead day before yesterday. Made with the water pressed from fresh cooked pumpkin, local honey, a bit of nutrient, and Lalvin D47. It took off like a rocket. Yesterday I noticed a thick layer of tan solids on top. Last night I had to move the whole thing to a larger primary. Over the top fermentation, lots of foaming, and a ton of these solids had blocked my air lock.
Could these solids be the remains of digested starches? They kinda look like kefir grains.
