Has anyone attempted this?

I love wells banana bread and most pumpkin ales. I want to create a hybrid. Even if you haven't done this, any suggestion on grains, malts, yeast. Adding pumpkin/banana/spices anything. When and how??

Help!!!

Are you the kind of guy who puts chocolate chips in? I don't think it would be a great idea !!

I probably wouldn't go for this beer, but if I were to make it... I'd probably use some biscuit malt for the bready quality, a belgian yeast fermented warm for the banana esters, and other than that use one of the pumpkin ale recipes listed on the site - that pumking clone Math0 linked to would be high up on my list.

That is a good idea. If I wanted to try this I would probably turn the pumpkin ale into a pumpkin cream ale and try banana and the biscuit malt, maybe cara60 too.

Hey if it sounds good to you...go for it! Nothin like pushing the boundaries:D
As a suggestion you could use White labs wlp300 yeast, and ferment warm around 70-75. To create the banana notes, as opposed to using real a banana. This combined with 15-20% biscuit malt would be yummy!!;)
