Pumpkin Ales/Lagers and Basicness

I was called a basic bitch today for making a pumpkin ale. To be compared to a PSL drinking basic bitch was really humbling.

Does enjoying pumpkin themed items in general make a person basic?

Can I be redeemed from a life of basicness?

Well it seems that Pumpkin-Spice-Everything has reached critical mass this year, so anyone coming within a mile of a pumpkin-flavored-anything is going to get lumped in with the PSL-sipping Ugg-boots-and-NorthFace-wearing sorostitutes. Sorry, but you've been caught in the collateral damage.
