I brewed this on 8/4/13. Pumpkin went in the Mash. 72% eff. Left in the primary until 9/2/13 and transfer to a keg. Cold crashed the keg 9/14/13. Put on gas on 9/15/13. The carb is perfect.

The color is a little strange. It is a orangeish-yellowish. Has very little smell. Taste isn't bad but it in lemony. I don't taste the spices at all and no pumpkin. The only thing I think could be the issue is the pumpkin. I used frozen pumpkin that I puree and saved for this brew.

I am trying to make this brew better. I poured a pint and added a pinch of cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, and all spice. Mixed it up and let it settle. Of course the smell was great. The taste got better and it did claim down the lemon flavor. Is this my only option or is there something else I can do to improve it?

Thank you for your time!

Just be careful with adding spices. Too much will overpower the brew.

It's possible that you're just tasting yeast and other gunky stuff that settled to the bottom of the keg. See if it clears up after 4 or 5 pints.

It might have been your pumpkin puree. Pumpkin will only stays good for a couple of months frozen.
