For those of you with pumps but with out fermenters with spigots, do you use your pump to transfer from primary to secondary and secondary to keg or do you use a racking cane / siphon? If you do use a pump, how do you prevent sucking up trub/yeast?

I siphon out of my fermentor into a keg, cold crash, and then push from one keg to another with CO2. The first keg sometimes acts as a secondary, sometimes I dry hop in it.

The typical homebrew pump is not self priming. If won't pull beer out of the top of the fermenter.

Since posting this I've learned about a method which uses pressurized CO2 to push the fluid out of the fermenter. Since I have a kegerator I might try this method.
