Pump switch box

Wanted something to plug my pumps into, so I didn't have to cut the power cords, and have switches run the outlet.

Did you think about making that outlet gfci? wouldn't hurt given the possibility of the wet location.

Odd, the first pic shows him using a GFCI. Each subsequent pic is a standard 15A receptacle.

yeah, I tried using the GFCI but I wanted to have each plug controlled separately, and it kept tripping it. The outlet I'll be using to plug this unit into will be GFCI though

What was the cost to build? Also do you still use the switches (standard light switches) with this set up? I like the look of the outer switches from the finished product, and am assuming that you are no longer using the standard switches.

the switch cover and the actually light switches came together as a kit. I've seen just the outside switch plate sold, so if you have normal light switches around the house, you could use those. The outside switches have a little U shape on the back to flip the switch up and down.

Overall, all parts were around $45. Thats including the switch plate kit, outlet (non-gfci), extension cord, 25 feet of wiring, project box, and outlet cover.
