I'm using the inline chugger pumps. I understand that they need to be placed below the brew pots so that there is some head pressure from the liquid flowing into the pump. My question is how far below the pots is needed?

I don't think there's a hard minimum, but a foot is likely plenty. I've seen some e-rigs where the pumps were just a few inches below the kettle bottoms and apparently they worked ok...

Cheers!

yeah I just did some tests and a foot worked ok. Getting it primed is a process but once it's primed and pumping it's all good.
