PSA: cheap used stainless steel equipment

I contacted a local guy that buys old restaurant equipment and told him if he ever found brewing equipment I would be interested.

He called me last night because he didn’t have enough room for some stuff and he would sell it to me cheap if I picked up

I paid $160 for an industrial 14ft stainless steel sink, 6ft table, and 3ft table.

Yea definitely a steal especially since it’s industrial grade. There are a few dents and dings but once I polish it up it will look brand new.

Sweet. You should look into replacing that faucet with a tall one that you can get a carboy under. And a sprayer.
My brew bench is Formica covered but my sink leaves a bit to be desired. Nice score.

Sweet deal! Even if a new faucet would cost almost as much as the original purchase!!!!

I would bet at least $120 at Home Depot or Lowes. The really good ones are WAY more.

Yes they aren’t too bad and I’m looking into getting one ASAP. I’m setting up a hose system for drainage to go into the garage drain .

I recall I paid close to $400 for my T&S faucet and spray wand. The sink was under $200.

Ultimately it was totally worth it. Don't skimp! The good stuff isn't cheap and the cheap stuff isn't good!

We use the cheap ebay stuff in a restaurant doing hundreds of covers a day. It’s fine.

I would just put a hose faucet, short length of garden house and a bronze nozzle on it.

Either way I’m jealous!
