There have been reports of people sneaking a Poodle in there also. PS: Depends on what you call standard, the ambiant temp, your burner and your boil volume. Way too much variables.

Get yourself a backup for sure. I'd pass on the poodle, in my opinion. Stick with the lab.

For me, in Wisconsin, I can fill up a 20# for about $17.
