I'm looking for an inexpensive propane burner timer/cut off device. Let's say I want the burner to stay on for an hour, and then cut off. It doesn't need to be fancier, i.e., it's not going to be tied in to a temperature gauge, etc.

[edit] This is the only timer-equipped propane regulator that Google found but when I tracked down the manual for it it turns out to do 15 minute cycles, only...

But there are "timers" that can control the flow of propane, they need an actual regulator to pair with.
But they aren't inexpensive. For instance:

Yes, that's the one that I was considering. Costly though, as you say. Nice salmon fly, btw...

I’ve used those on the gas grills at a vacation condo; they work well for saving fuel when people forget to turn off the grill. But I’m not sure I would trust them to more than +/- 5 minutes accuracy without some testing and calibration.

How are you thinking of using it?

Not a brewing thing: I make Chinese herbal decoctions with a clay pot on a gas range. I'll set a timer but frequently burn them when I'm away and not paying attention. I'm thinking of shifting the process to outdoors with a propane stove as it declutters the kitchen, and the one hour +/- 5 minutes would be an easy default.
