Hi Folks
I have just converted a pinlock keg to a ball lock, not difficult but I have a problem. It seems that there is an incompatibility between the springs in the post and the disconnect. The poppet opens but there is not enough pushback from the poppet spring to open the valve in the disconnect. And before anyone asks yes I have got the inlet and the outlet the right way round, and there is no gas pressure in the line.
Does anyone have any experience of this or thoughts on how to fix?
I thought you might like this as well.
A quick, cheap and reliable air lock. A pin prick in the end of the thumb let’s the gas out. When the pressure falls the hole automatically closes. Also when erect, fermentation is vigorous, it goes flaccid when its all over.
