Just about to bottle my first batch of beer. I have LME instead of DME for priming and was wondering how much i should use. I think I remeber it being 1 1/2 cups in a couple quarts of boilingwater but can't rember if this is correct and can't find the source. So will 1 1/2 cups of LME in a couple quarts of water do?

Thanks

LME is less concentrated than DME so you will need more. I think LME is 20% water.

1.5c DME / .80 = 1.875

or 80% of 1.875 cups LME = 1.5 cups of DME

SO you will need 1.875 cups of LME to equal 1.5 cups DME
