Ive got an APA i need to bottle and i dont have any corn sugar around so i was gonna use some honey instead. How much should i use? how long do i boil it? Will the carbonation be the same, as in similar sized bubbles, and will the flavor be noticable?

Similar-sized bubbles??? COOL!!! I want some big-ass bubbles in my first barley-wine...call it Big-Ass Bubbles Barley Wine!

Bubble Butt Barley Wine.

Uh, to answer your question, I beleive it is 1/2 cup honey for 5 gallons. I think one of the online beer tool sites has honey listed in there co2 calculator. I saw that somewhere several months ago.

I got this list @ my LHBS

sugar type bottles draft/keg

dextrose 3/4 cup 1/3 cup
honey 1 cup <1/2 cup
maple syrup 1 1/4 cup 5/8 cup
molasses 1 cup <1/2 cup
brown sugar 2/3 cup <1/3 cup
cane or beet sugar 2/3 cup <1/3 cup
DME 1 1/4 cup 5/8 cup
I don't know about the bubbles i use forced Co2

i primed my pumpkin ale with honey. I mixed it with a bit of water and brought it to a boil so I could skim off hte proteins. all my beers have ended up with extremely small bubbles, and the honey was no diferent.
