i know its been said, but i can't find it on the search feature. how much sugar per 1/2 gallon growler? its a wheat ale, but want to error on a bit under carbonated to avoid bombs. also, its been in the secondary for 3 weeks. should i stir up the yeast a bit?

First, it takes 5 oz. corn sugar to prime a 5 gallon batch. Just take that and divide it by whatever size you need. I.E. 12 gallon = 1/2 oz. corn sugar

P.S. Don't stir it. There is plenty of yeast still in suspension to do the deed.

5oz of dextrose is not an absolute, depends on style and taste. And yes, stir the beer once its in your bottling bucket, but rack the beer off your yeast cake first.
