Hello: I just bought an outdoor propane burner from Walmart. When I was testing it out (making sure it could boil 5G, etc.), I noticed that it had debris, flies, and things that I generally did not want in my beer. How do you all prevent that?
The obvious answer would be to cover the pot while its boiling. However, I always thought it best to take off the lid for the boil.
The next thing that came to me was to cover the pot with a grain bag. If I did that, I'd be afraid of melting my grain bag? Any ideas?
Thanks
