Hello !

I need some advice on my first transfer attempt on a basic IPA 10G batch from 14g ss brewtech unitank into the kegs via pressure transfer. I'm trying to leave as much trub and hops behind as possible. I did dry hop 10 oz of pellets right into the tank with no bag so hops are everywhere!

So I have it cold crashing now for 4-5 days @ 35, and fined with Gelatin 2 days ago. Its currently naturally carb'd as I closed off the blow off towards the end of primary and it sat at 15 psi.

The beer doesn't really look any more clear out of the sampling port of the 14g ss brewtech after the cold crash and Gelatin. I probably should have thrown in the Gelatin before cold crashing, maybe that is why it wasn't effective? I think a bit of the yeast has dropped out of suspension, and I got some nasty globs of gelatin something on first sampling port pull. But still hazy and definitely hop pellet particles.

I have one of those inline beer filters I was thinking about trying out, but now that its carb'd is it even possible to filter without turning into 100% foam?

Should I just run the racking port until it looks clear?

Should I dump more trub and let it settle again and check sampling port? I heard this might waste beer as anything clear below racking is wasted. Price to pay for clear beer?

I do plan on doing a pressure transfer, but not sure if I should be shooting for 2 psi unitank into 0 psi keg, or like 15 psi unitank and 13 psi spund'ed keg?

Appreciate any input!

Well long story short, the beer bright clogged up with hops before a single drop of beer made it to the keg so filtering was out the window. I blew off as much as I could over 2 more days and still ended up with crazy hops in the keg that are now clogging the poppet after cleaning them out 6 times. Got a http://www.clearbeerdraughtsystem.com/ coming so I can drink the damn thing! 11 gallons into the unitank, 7 out, I'll never direct pitch hop pellets into the unitank again!
