The rubber stopper on my last two batches has come off while I was at work so here is my attempt at a pressure relief system. I know it’s a little archaic looking but all elements were sanitized and I’m hoping I get better results. Any suggestions are welcomed! Happy Sunday Funday!

Tie a butcher cord around the stopper and tie to the hole in the bottle. Fill your airlock with vodka and rinse it out and replace vodka if it pukes!

If your airlock looks the the one on the right, cut off those runners so that you have a larger opening. I had trouble like yours until I learned that trick. I still get blowoff crud in the airlock sometimes, but it never pops the cork.
