Hi, another more than likely another stupid question.

I have a batch in my fermentation bin at the moment, and I've a pressure barrel with aCo2 cap. Can a do a secondary fermentation in this barrel even though it doesn't have an airlock or release valve?

I would like to bottle most of the beer in the end, and keep some in the keg.

And also how much sugar do I need to use for 23ltrs?

Did you find an answer to this as I have a stout on the go in my bucket and one finished want to transfer to a pressure barrel and prime but really don't know how much sugar to add.
As per instructoons it states 5g per bottle so do I just x this to tne amount to total the barrel ????
If anyone can help pleSe jump in as I need to know in about a weeks time.
Also if I use DME do I use alight malt or dark or just stick to dextrose..
