Anyone else getting ready for St.Patty's day? I plan on enjoying an Irish Stout I brewed last month and smoked brisket that has been brined in corned beef spices.

I'll be brewing a double batch of Gordon Strong's Flanders Red recipe. During the mash and boiling process I'll be transferring 3 batches of a Gordon Strong Helles to start the lagering process...

Sheesh, I didn't even consider brewing an irish stout until this very moment. Derp.

But yea, I'm getting two large brisket flats into the corning spices and cure tonight. One will be used for corned beef, the other goes to grad school and becomes a pastrami.
