Got a new immersion wort chiller for christmas. Now it's summer and I want to use it. I heard that you should clean it first so that you don't get all that oxidation in your beer. Any tips as how to do this? boil it?

Assuming it is a copper chiller, yes, just boil it in a vinegar solution for about 10-15 minutes. That should remove all the oxidation off the chiller and make is shiny clean again!

I'd just wash it with water. After every use its going to oxydize in a couple of weeks; but as soon as you put it in your boiling wort, it'll clean it up to a nice and shiny state again as the wort is acidic. This is nothing to worry about and won't impart any off flavors to your beer.
