Preferred Aftermarket Beer Bottle (newbie)

Just getting back in to brewing and have a bottle question. Being a chef, I have access to a bar that sells a good amount of beer. Being the cheap-a## that I am, I am going to start collecting these bottles. The restaurant that I am in is an Italian one, so you can only imagine the type of beer selection that we have. The beers on our list that have bottles that I can use are sam adams, sierra nevada and leffe. All the rest are either twist off or are too light to bottle a good home brew. For my fellow cheapos out there, what is your preferred aftermarket bottle?

Hi Chef! I get all my bottles through a local bar - it's a great option! I like the Duvel bottles.

I like a variety. I keg now, but I still keep a few around for various purposes. My favorites for presentation are Belgians, Anchor bottles, and the Sam Smith wide-shoulder pints like the organic brews use.

For regular use, brown wine bottles and 22oz/24oz brown bottles are handy.

When I bottled whole batches, I matched types to the beer (British IPA: Sam Smith wide shoulders; cali common: Anchor steam bottles; Weizen: Paulaner bottles) and then I kept a full set of long-necks (e.g Sam Adams) and a full set of stubbies (e.g. Sierra) around for general use if I didn't have in-style bottles. Aside from whatever bombers I had empty at the time, I'd do the rest of the batch in matched bottles to help keep them straight (so I'd know my Pale Ale was in stubbies and my IPA in long necks, or whatever) without having to decipher my bottle-cap markings.

I prefer regular, non-embossed, longneck, brown, 12oz bottles. However, if I need them, I'll take whatever I can get.
