Pre hopped extract kit with LDME

How much light dry malt extract must I add to my can of pre hopped kit if I only use L DME ? I think I heard John Palmer say 2pounds pasturised at 160f for 10 mins... am I right with the 2 pounds ?

When I used/still use Cooper's cans, for example. I'll add a 3lb bag of plain (un-hopped) light DME to get a beer that's around 5%. You can use as little as 1lb or the 3lbs. Depends on how much flavor & ABV you want?
