Anyone try this? I have a place locally that does great work and is really affordable. I'd do the top perimeter and burner screens in high temp coating and the rest get a little nutty with some gaudy flake scheme.

This is a single tier build if that matters.

Haven't seen too many powdercoated rigs around, but they're out there. You're already aware of the temp limitations of powdercoating, so that's good. If you have a windshield for the burner (which you should) you will get less flame washing over the frame.

If the rig isn't built yet or you haven't already bought the materials, you should consider stainless....the price would be about the same as steel + powdercoat and it is good to go for the occasional washdown.

I can't weld stainless and I can get it coated for under $100, more if I choose some flaked
