Hi everyone,

I am a total newb to home brewing, and I thought since I was brewing cider it would probably be more appropriate to post it here than at the beginners forum. I started a batch on Sat (12/31) using motts apple juice and us-05 yeast. I have been keeping an eye on the carboy, and I noticed that while there has been bubbles coming out of the airlock, I haven't seen any krausen form at all. Is this cause for concern? I am going under the assumption that this is ok because I see bubbles coming out the airlock, but I still wanted to check on here for opinions from people who would know and if it is a problem what are some possible remedies. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and have a good one.

As a newb, you may want to look up RDWHAHB. Cider does not typically have a krausen like beer does. It's perfectly normal. Good luck.
