Hi all, started my first batch of mead recently and just noticed a ring of patchy white on the glass above the liquid inside the fermenter, there is also a patch of bright yellow dots on one part. Is this mold? Is this batch gone or is it still salvageable? Most of the posts/pictures I have seen of mold is on the liquid itself and not on the walls of the fermenter so slightly confused. I have only opened the fermenter once to take a sample for the hydrometer.

More details on the batch - was trying out a traditional mead using honey, filtered water, DAP, boiled bakers yeast, Lalvin EC1118 yeast, starting gravity was 1.104 on 15 June, took a reading on 21 June and the gravity was 1.025.

Happy to receive any advice or opinions on this!
