Alright, so I brewed up a Scottish 80 on Sunday and put it in a bucket, first time using a bucket instead of glass carboy. Everything went fine on the brewday and pitched the rehydrated safale S-33 at 70 degrees or so. Anyway, looked in the bucket today and saw this:
So is this normal. I normally ferment in glass, and have never seen particles like this. It is brown in color, in case the picture is not good. Oh, and I use a mesh screen to get out as much of the hops as possible.
The beer smells and tastes like beer, perhaps a little off, but not bad. This is my first Scottish, so not sure what I am looking for. I am leaving for the weekend so if i am going to do anything, has to happen soon. Thanks for your input!!!
