My neighbor has an old fridge and I've been toying with the idea of using it for a fermentation chamber. I don't keg, so I'm not looking for a kegerator, just a fermentation chamber. I'm not very handy and was wondering if this thing would even work as a chamber. Neighbor says all it needs is sealing gaskets for the doors. Any ideas?

It would definitely work for fermentation as long as it is big enough to fit your fermenter. It probably uses a lot of electricity. You would just need a temp controller. If it is free I would use it. If you have to pay for it, I probably would not buy it.
