Here's the stout recipe for a 7 gallon batch mini mash:

8lbs light LME
1 lb 2 row
1 lb oats (they will get toasted)
.5 lb crystal 60
.5 lb chocolate malt
.25 roasted barley

.5 oz glena for 45 min
1 oz East Kent Goldings for 45 min

Nottingham 2 packs

I don't want to make a whole batch of chai beer so I was thinking of making a extract to add to 1/3 of the batch at bottling using proven chai beer recipe listed here.

Any comment, suggestions, cautions or thoughts?

2 packs of nitty seems like way to much. One should do. Keep the second one for a London Fog beer!

I was also thinking of using a bottle of wisky/burbon and making the chai extract that way then adding just to a third of the batch at bottling. What do you all think?

Really? No comments? Not even a "you don't know what you are doing newb." ?

Let's make this broader, I want to add flavor to 1/3 of a batch at bottling what the best way to go about that and not worry about infection?
