I’ve been seeing a few hard plumbed systems lately that have had me drooling. I never thought it really made sense other than the bling factor for homebrew. That’s a lot of stainless.
I figured I would try to take a stab at a valve system using 3 way ball valves and regular old silicone tubing.
Here’s what I came up with.
In all, I needed 5 “L 3 way ball valves”, 1 “T 3 way valve”, a 4 way cross and 3 regular ball valves.
You can use whatever ends you want, whether barbs or camlocks. I used an assortment of them.
This set up let’s your recirculate through rims, fly sparge through the same recirculation manifold (good for blichmann autosparge). You can whirlpool both with or without the in line chiller. Go direct from chiller to fermentation vessel.
I’ll be doing a brew day tomorrow, but I believe I should be able to get through the whole process with no hose swaps.
It was also important to me that I not have to figure a way to mount the valves to a frame. All valves are solid on either a kettle or pump head.
