disclaimer:*If your immediate response is anything like "1982 called and wants it's movie back" Give yourself a big "thumbs up" with your right hand, and then jam that thumb right into your eye. Thanks!!!!!!!*

Holy crap!

Spielberg at the top of his game makes a full on HORROR movie. How could you lose? The mom is hot, the acting is good, there is plenty of believeable gore and gross outs, unparalelled suspense....(SPOILER clawing out of the recently dug swimming pool in the driving rain, as the mud slips like axle grease and you slide towards the deep end of the mud puddle which is teaming with rotting skeletons ....EPIC suspense win)

I had forgotten how GOOD this movie is, and the effects actually hold up.

This was free on ATT on demand, but is worth paying for if needs be.

Give it another look if you haven't recently.

Yeah, it's badass. Still as scary now as it was when I first saw it.

My mom took me to see it in the theater-I must have been 11 or so. It terrified me! I had to sleep with the lights on in my room for weeks after...

The main reason I hate clowns to this day.

However, that pales in comparison to the preacher from Poltergeist 2.

"God is in His Holy Temple! Earthly thoughts be silent now!"

The tree reaching through the window was the one that gave me nightmares!

1982 called and it's still pimpin.

love this movie... can't ever watch it with my wife around though.. she's not too into horror movies.

this might be the scariest part of this movie though:

Poor little old lady!

So they barely pull the girl out of the clutches of the obviously still active Poltergeist.....and the little lady declares the house CLEAN?

I would declare the house "barely escaped from, never go Near IT AGAIN!!!!!"
